This year’s Summer Showdown was a tough one for the SPS team. After a 3rd place at Stockton the week before, hopes were high for a strong finish at one of our favorite tracks on the west coast.
Unfortunately, if it wasn’t for bad luck we wouldn’t have had any at all. Losing a motor in the first practice in the Pro Late was really disappointing. The Super was really fast on Saturday but having a tire go down early in the 200 lapper put us a few laps down. Then contact on lap 133 ended our race weekend at that point.
The results won’t show all of the hard work we put in or how fast we were. We’ll shake this one off and head back strong looking for a @srlswtourseries win at Redwood Acres in a few weeks.
So yeah this one was tough but so are we. We’re racers…it’s what we do 💪
